The Albert J. Reinschmidt Memorial Scholarship Fund, founded by his friends and rail industry colleagues, will:
You are invited to support the education of rail transportation engineering students and commemorate his name and many industry contributions by donating to the fund.
How to Contribute
The Albert J. Reinschmidt Memorial Scholarship funds are collected and distributed by the Cedar Street Charitable Foundation, headquartered in Milwaukee, and is a donor-advised fund. Donors will receive written acknowledgment of their contribution and donations are immediately tax deductible.
The Account Number for the “Albert J. Reinschmidt Memorial Scholarship Fund” managed by the Cedar Street Charitable Foundation is 668-142633. Checks must be drawn on US funds and should be made out to Cedar Street Charitable Foundation and sent to:

Friends of Al Reinschmidt
This scholarship fund has been organized by a group known as the “Friends of Al Reinschmidt.” All individuals who make donations (either one-time or periodic) to the Scholarship Fund are eligible to become members of the Friends of Al Reinschmidt organization. Similarly, companies or organizations that make donations are encouraged to become members and nominate a contact person to be an active member. The members meet annually, usually via teleconference to elect the Trustees of the Scholarship Fund and to provide overall direction to the Trustees. The Trustees, in turn elect a Head Trustee, a Secretary, and other positions as necessary.

This will enable the Trustees to keep you updated on progress towards our goal of providing for meaningful scholarships in Al’s name.
The Funding Mechanism
The Trustees work within the confines of a document entitled “Organizational Principles of Friends of Al Reinschmidt” to oversee the actions and performance of Cedar Street to ensure the wishes of the members of the Friends of Al Reinschmidt are being executed.

- provide financial assistance to rail engineering students in the disciplines of railway civil, electrical, industrial, and mechanical engineering,
- develop new talent to advance rail safety, efficiency, and technological advancement.
